What is Womingo?
Womingo is a digital insurance platform focused on women’s protection needs, offered by Antworks Insurance Broking and Risk Consulting Private Limited, a licensed insurance broker. We help you compare, choose, and manage health, life, and other insurance covers in one easy place.
Is Womingo an insurance company or a broker platform?
Womingo is a platform of Antworks Insurance Broking and Risk Consulting, which acts as an IRDAI licensed insurance broker. That means we work with multiple insurers to help you find suitable products instead of selling only one company’s plans.
Who is Womingo meant for?
Womingo is built primarily for women—working professionals, homemakers, entrepreneurs, and caregivers—who want to understand and buy the right insurance for themselves and their families. You can also use Womingo if you are buying on behalf of a spouse, parent, or dependent.
What types of insurance can I buy on Womingo?
Depending on product availability and partner insurers, you can explore and buy health insurance, women specific health plans, term life, personal accident, and other protection products. Over time, we plan to add more covers curated around women’s health, career, and business needs.
How does Womingo choose which insurance plans to show me?
We shortlist plans based on coverage features, claim experience indicators, pricing, and suitability for women at different life stages. You can then compare premiums, benefits, and key terms side by side before deciding.
Pricing, purchase, and payments
Do I pay anything extra when I buy through Womingo?
No, you do not pay more than the insurer’s filed premium when you purchase through an IRDAI licensed broker platform. Our revenue comes from standard brokerage/commission arrangements with insurers, not by marking up your premium.
How do I pay for a policy on Womingo?
Once you select a plan and fill in your details, you are redirected to a secure payment flow supported by the insurer or our integrated payment partners. You can typically pay using net banking, debit/credit cards, UPI, or other digital methods, as allowed by the insurer.
When is my policy considered active?
Your policy is usually considered active after you have paid the premium, submitted the required details/documents, and the insurer has issued your policy. In some cases, the insurer may request additional information or medical tests before confirming issuance.
Women focused coverage
Why do women need specialized insurance plans?
Women face specific health and life stage risks, such as maternity, breast and cervical cancers, hormonal disorders, and complications of pregnancy and childbirth. Specialized plans can offer extra benefits, add ons, and underwriting that better reflect these realities.
Do women specific health plans cover maternity?
Many women centric health plans offer maternity and newborn coverage, typically after a waiting period specified by the insurer (often 9 months to a few years). Exact coverage, limits, and waiting periods vary by plan, so we highlight these details on the comparison screens.
Can I cover my family on Womingo or is it only for women?
While the platform is designed around women’s needs, you can choose family floater or add on coverage for spouse, children, and sometimes parents, depending on the plan. Womingo helps you see whether a plan is individual only or eligible for family coverage.
Support, Claims, and Renewals
Does Womingo help me at claim time?
Yes. As a broker platform backed by Antworks, we support you with claim intimation, documentation guidance, and follow ups with the insurer, as per regulatory guidelines. Our role is to help you understand the process and coordinate with the insurer to the extent allowed.
Who actually settles my claim – Womingo or the insurer?
Claims are assessed and settled directly by the insurance company that issued your policy. Womingo/Antworks assists you in navigating the process but does not make claim decisions or payouts.
How will I remember renewals?
We send reminders before your policy expiry date via email, SMS, or other channels you opt into, so you can review coverage and renew on time. You can also log in to your Womingo account anytime to view policy status and upcoming renewals.
Data, Security, and Compliance
Is Womingo compliant with Indian insurance regulations?
Yes. Womingo operates as a platform of Antworks Insurance Broking and Risk Consulting Private Limited, which is registered and regulated as an insurance broker under IRDAI. All advice, sales, and servicing are delivered as per applicable Indian regulations and guidelines.
How is my data protected?
We use secure, encrypted connections and follow strict access controls and data handling practices to safeguard your personal and health information. Your data is only shared with insurers and service partners as needed to issue and service your policies, in line with applicable laws and our privacy policy.
Will my information be used for marketing without my consent?
